Whatever Happens
Whatever Happens was an experimental exploration about the universal pursuit of purpose. Weaving a story through the non-linear, disjointed lives of couples, friends, and siblings, the piece ebbs and flows with an ever-changing ensemble of 20-somethings grappling with a wealth of struggles and curiosities. They find themselves looking for the path to adulthood, to happiness, to success, to love, only to lose themselves too often along the way. Whatever Happens walks the tightrope between a journey of self-love and an existential breakdown.
History
Whatever Happens was first conceived in October of 2017 by Rose Slavin, Zoe Feldman, Marlee Gordon, Rodney Murray, Halle Ballard, Phenon Murphy, Max Serrano, and Carleigh Spence, facilitated by Dante Green, under the direction of Dante Green and Cami Pileggi. With significant guest artist contributions by Spencer Gordon, Daniel Jones, Terran Scott, Shannon Barnes, and Matt Donzella. The show then received a second workshop in January of 2018. This workshop was an expansion project. Under the direction of Dante Green and Cami Pileggi, it’s devisers comprised of Rose Slavin, Halle Ballard, Phenon Murphy, Max Serrano, Carleigh Spence, Terran Scott, Daniel Jones, Matthew Donzella, Jeremy Cousar, Greg Power, Alexandria Greene, Anna Lieberman, Brandon “Fish” Fisher, Sydney Banks, Timothy Williams, Patrick Campbell, Kaila Burritt and Emma Pillow, with choreography by Hannah Sandler and Rodney Murray, and continuous contributions from Zoe Feldman and Marlee Gordon. Additional guest artist contributions were made by Sav Sousa, Lyell Hintz, Sophia Grosshauser, and Shannon Barnes. Special Thanks to Adrianna Lombardi, Amy Dugas Brown, and Alex Bechtel.
